The quizzes, games and study tools on the Site are for learning and practice. They are not official exams, and they are not a copy of any official exam. A good score on the Site does not guarantee any result on a real exam, license or certification.

Not affiliated

The Site is independent. Unless a specific quiz says otherwise, it is not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by any code council, standards body, testing company, licensing board or government agency. Names of codes, standards, exams and organizations belong to their owners and are used only to describe what a quiz covers.

Codes and laws change

Questions that refer to a building code, standard or law refer to it by name and section and explain it in our own words. Codes are updated on a regular cycle, and states, counties and cities adopt them with their own changes. Always check the official adopted code and the local building department (the authority having jurisdiction) for the rules that apply to a real project or exam.
