Terms and conditions

MockMissions is a new site. These Terms will be reviewed and may be updated as the Site grows; changes are posted here with a new date.

These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your use of MockMissions at mockmissions.com (the "Site"), operated by Global Code Consulting Corp. ("we", "us", "our"). By using the Site you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Site.

1. What MockMissions is

MockMissions offers practice quizzes and study tools. The quizzes are for learning and practice only. They are not official exams, they are not endorsed by any testing or certifying organization unless we say so on a specific quiz, and a good score on the Site does not guarantee any result on a real exam. See our Disclaimers page.

2. Who may use the Site

• You must be at least 13 years old to use the Site, and at least 13 to create an account.
• If you are under the age of majority where you live, you may use the Site only with the permission of a parent or guardian, who agrees to these Terms for you.
• You may not use the Site if the law where you live forbids it.

3. Your account

• Some features (saving progress, study lists, bookmarks) need a free account.
• Give accurate information and keep it up to date. Keep your password private. You are responsible for what happens under your account.
• Tell us right away at support@mockmissions.com if you think someone else is using your account.
• You may delete your account at any time from your account settings. Deletion starts a short waiting period during which you can change your mind; after that your account is removed as described in our Privacy Policy.
• We may suspend or close an account that breaks these Terms or our Acceptable Use Policy, or to protect the Site or other users.

4. Price

The Site is free to use today. If we ever offer paid features, we will tell you the price and terms before you pay anything, and nothing you already use for free will be charged without your agreement.

5. Acceptable use

When using the Site you agree not to:

• copy, scrape, harvest or republish quiz questions, answers or explanations in bulk, or use them to build a competing product or to train software without our written permission;
• share answer keys or post our questions elsewhere;
• try to break, overload, probe or get around the Site's security, rate limits or access controls;
• use bots or scripts to take quizzes or create accounts;
• pretend to be someone else, or create accounts to abuse leaderboards or scores;
• upload or send anything unlawful, harmful, hateful, or that infringes someone else's rights.

Our Acceptable Use Policy gives more detail and is part of these Terms.

6. Our content

The quizzes, questions, explanations, graphics, design and software on the Site belong to us or our licensors and are protected by copyright and other laws. We give you a personal, non-transferable, revocable permission to use the Site for your own study. Nothing else is licensed to you.

Where a question refers to a code, standard, law or other published work, we refer to it by name and section only and explain it in our own words; the original work belongs to its owner. Names of organizations, exams and products belong to their owners and are used only to describe what a quiz covers.

7. Your content and feedback

If the Site lets you submit content (for example a comment, a report about a question, or feedback), you keep ownership of it, and you give us permission to use, store, display and edit it to run and improve the Site. Do not submit anything you do not have the right to share. If you send us ideas or suggestions, we may use them without owing you anything.

8. Links, ads and affiliate links

The Site may link to other websites, and may show advertising or affiliate links (we may earn a commission if you buy through them; such links are labeled). We are not responsible for other websites, their content, products or privacy practices.

9. Availability and changes

We may change, pause or stop any part of the Site at any time, including for maintenance. We try to keep the Site available and accurate, but we do not promise that it will always be available, error free, or that every question and answer is correct. If you find a mistake, please report it.

10. Disclaimer of warranties

THE SITE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE". TO THE FULLEST EXTENT ALLOWED BY LAW, WE DISCLAIM ALL WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, ACCURACY AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.

11. Limitation of liability

TO THE FULLEST EXTENT ALLOWED BY LAW, WE WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR FOR LOST PROFITS, DATA, OPPORTUNITIES OR EXAM RESULTS, ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE SITE. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM ABOUT THE SITE IS LIMITED TO THE GREATER OF THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US IN THE 12 MONTHS BEFORE THE CLAIM OR US $50. Some places do not allow these limits, so they may not all apply to you.

12. Indemnity

You agree to defend and hold us harmless from claims, losses and costs (including reasonable attorney fees) arising from your misuse of the Site or your breaking these Terms.

13. Governing law and disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, USA, without regard to its conflict of law rules. Any dispute will be handled in the state or federal courts located in the State of California, and you and we agree to their jurisdiction. Before filing a claim, please contact us at support@mockmissions.com so we can try to resolve it informally.

14. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms. When we make an important change we will update the date above and tell you on the Site (and, if you have an account, we may ask you to accept the new version when you next sign in). Continuing to use the Site after a change means you accept it.

15. Other terms

If any part of these Terms cannot be enforced, the rest stays in effect. Our not enforcing a part is not a waiver. You may not transfer your rights under these Terms; we may transfer ours in connection with a sale or reorganization of the Site. These Terms, together with the policies they link to, are the whole agreement between you and us about the Site.
